This is a great module that I used for a couple years before switching to the All Aboard Marine unit. This one works great, looks great and is ready to go. Save a lot of money here.

The only reason there is electrical tape on the one small piece is its holding the hardware together inside for assembly. Nothing is broke, everything is perfect. I had this mounted on a Lowrance Ghost but will fit most all models I know of
